Keystone XL's toxic sludge cannot be sold in the US because it will refined in a Free Trade Zone. All of it will be sold overseas and the US gets no taxes. We take all the risks to give the Chinese a tax break. Further, it will create abut 1200 temporary jobs for pipeline construction companies. Trump is just too damned stupid.

Iraq's oil business was in terrible shape after 2 decades of war and sanctions. Saddam Hussein begged the US and UN to allow Haliburton to come in to do essential reserve management. That was in 1998. The cost was 20 million.

After Bush declared victory in 2004 it was another 11 years before Iraqi oil production got up to speed.
