If that is the way you spend your money, then all I can do is feel sorry for you and your judgement. Naturally, I pay on rent, or mortgage, for that matter, and have not for many years. I carry no credit card debt and have not for years, only using credit card online, or more than a hundred miles from home, or on long distance vacations or home additions, (those two handled on home equity line of credit card at 3%, and paid off a month or two after the expenditure. Gas is not significant, as well as not Biden's fault, and of course, I average 30 to 50 cents off of normal local gas prices, by knowing how and where to shop. Not to forget, I have no commute. Some days, my jeep and or the Explorer do not even leave driveway. My Electricity has not gone up 28% except during pool season, now over, by the way. So, mostly, I only see the consumer and grocery prices, but with just the two of us, nothing to write home about. Wages? Nope. I don't work for wages anymore, but most of our retirements have gone up, considerable more than your chart and that does not count 401K, 403B and IRA accounts, which have gone up considerably. Heck, the only time we have touched them was building the addition, so I would not have to even pay the 3% API Home Equity line of Credit, and amazingly, the market has performed such that the the account we took it out of has grown at a rate, that has more than covered the withdrawal. It worked like a free major addition, with a profit, due to how well the economy has run under the Biden/Harris administration. We both voted today for it to continue, under the Harris/Walz Administration. So, you are trying to sell your trumped up troubles to the wrong family.Sorry, W6 but wrong again. As you can see, in just the five commodity categories they include at left, one of them is at 47%. These are AVERAGES, but when you look at all categories of things we buy (not included here) and items INDIVIDUALLY, many things have skyrocketed. Things are far worse than the government admits.
