Red state lawmaker triggers alarms with call to overturn Fourteenth Amendment

It helps us see what a lying POS clowns like you are. Look at what just happened in Memphis TN.
So, Virginia does it and it's not about race.

Tenn does it and it absolutely is about race.

You guys must wake up every morning in anticipation of how quickly you'll be able to play the race card.

SCOTUS just said race can't determine districting.

And that's gonna crush you. So the obvious conclusion was that what was going on in places like Tenn and Illinois was racist to start with.

I don't read IM2 stupid's posts because I have him on ignore because racebaiting is disgusing and he's a massive racebaiter.

But your response alone proves you a liar.

I realize now that this isn't a discussion of the 14th amendment.

It is just another little group of racists who get together and feel sorry for each other because you've been figured out.
Yeah, most people see the sky across the south.
You see imaginary dragons.
You are only seeing what you want to see through your little racist glasses.

Keep trying. It only helps those of your race see just what morons you are.

Here are examples of white racial gaslighting.

This thread is not about the 14th Amendment. It is about a racist legislator who wants to repeal the 14th Amendment, along with gutting voting rights, which would bring back Jim Crow 100 percent. This is the sentiment among some whites in 2026 that people like Hikerguy try to tell us we are imagining. This is racial gaslighting.

The folks in VA voted for it, did the voters in TN vote for it?

Texas did it and how did the SC vote on that case?

WTF was the Voting Rights Act created?

It's always been about race and only an idiot would try to convince folks otherwise.

The folks in VA voted for it, did the voters in TN vote for it?
Yes they did.

They voted for the representatives who made the changes.

Same in Texas.

Virginia lied their asses off to the people and violated their own constitution in doing it. That's why the VA Scotus is holding it up.

Arizona is now talking about it.

It's always been about race and only an idiot would try to convince folks otherwise.
I would agree with you.

The current configurations in many blue states were put there by racists and the SCOTUS said you can't do that. Only and idiot would not know that.

Per your logic, Indiana is about to become the most non-racist state in the nation. :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

A red state lawmaker quietly called on the Supreme Court to overturn the Fourteenth Amendment, but plenty of people are calling out the stunning remark.

The GOP state Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter told local media, "I certainly hope the Supreme Court will overturn Amendment 14," as the state moves to redistrict. The Fourteenth Amendment promises equal protection under the law, as well as due process and birthright and naturalized citizenship.

Ledbetter told the press that the Alabama House is still seeking more power to change their state's elections, saying, "all we need now is the courts to overturn Fourteen, and we can look at the election."

Joyce Vance, former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, noted that "this is the same legislative body a court found engaged in intentional racial discrimination in drawing voting maps."

It's all in our heads, republicans don't want to go back to the days of Jim Crow.

What does the 14th Amendment do again?
The only issue before the court is “birth right” citizenship. Nothing the court can decide regarding that case can change the equal protection or due process aspects of the amendment. So congrats you’re as dumb as the politician who made the comment and the people who wrote tbe article about it.

Are you really triggered with alarm?

Please don't go on a shooting spree, I know how you Dems are these days.

Another ignorant Republican; the Supreme Court can't 'overturn' an amendment to the Constitution.

And this isn't just one Republican, this is typical of most on the racist right.

If they did, they would lose a significant voting block that they currently seem to be gaining in.

So, I yeah....I don't see that.

I realize it's part of your battle cry (as in propaganda machinery) that has become tired and worn out.
The racist right wants the Court to end the doctrine of substantive due process, where the right to due process is applied to states and local jurisdictions via the 14 Amendment.

Absent substantive due process, racist Republican-controlled states would be at liberty to enact laws and measures that discriminate based on race, religion, and ethnic origin.

It would also allow Republican-controlled states to violate workers’ rights, such as eliminating minimum wage laws, laws regulating work hours, and laws regulating worker safety.

What does the 14th Amendment do again?

The Supreme Court can’t “overturn” an amendment, they can only define what “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” means.

Don’t fret, they are not going to remove BRC.

What part of the 14th? Oh wait, you don’t even know what it does

Dumbass I didn't say it, this racist from Alabama did. We are seeing republicans and this Trump administration trying to turn back the clock on the rights of black folks and fools like you are trying to tell us to not believe what we are seeing.

You think this redirecting issue is about race? Do you think republicans voters care if their votes come from black people or white people?

15th post
The racist right wants the Court to end the doctrine of substantive due process, where the right to due process is applied to states and local jurisdictions via the 14 Amendment.
The communist left wants to destroy the constitution so the can apply the doctrine of stealing from the rich to feed their lazy asses.

The 14th Amendment does nothing to help them in this.

Absent substantive due process, racist Republican-controlled states would be at liberty to enact laws and measures that discriminate based on race, religion, and ethnic origin.
You mean like Virginia.

The SCOTUS (a conservative SCOTUS) just said you can't discriminate on the basis of race.

Moron.

It would also allow Republican-controlled states to violate workers’ rights, such as eliminating minimum wage laws, laws regulating work hours, and laws regulating worker safety.
None of those things aere meaningful now given other environmental factors.

You need to be shipped off to CUBA.
