You know it's getting bad when relief organization is afraid to send workers to inner-city disasters.

Red Cross volunteers no longer will go on-site to fires in 10 Milwaukee ZIP codes..

"As fire spread from one house to a second on Milwaukee's north side Thursday morning, firefighters and police officers worked to keep people safe and stop the blaze.

But one familiar agency was not present: The American Red Cross.

The organization known for helping families find food, clothing and shelter in the wake of disasters will no longer respond on-site to fires in 10 ZIP codes located on the north, central and near south side.

Instead, Red Cross volunteers will meet with families at their office or at nearby Milwaukee police district stations, which are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

They got tired of responding to crack houses and having the junkies sell the sandwiches and blankets they gave them.
