Despite the fact that many Democrats still cling to their preposterous belief that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 Presidential election, a real collusion with Russia began in 2021 with the inauguration of Joe Biden and his Green New Deal which would end America's dominant position in producing energy for itself and exporting it to other countries.
In less than 12 moths America went from being a net energy exporter to a net energy importer, with no plan to ever reverse that situation. Instead it would adopt pie-in-the-sky timelines for shutting down fossil fuel (and nuclear) energy production and replacing it with "clean" energy sources (e.g., wind and solar) that have already proven to be insufficient and unreliable sources in other countries.
Whether by accident or design, this has increased the value of Russia's (and Ukraine's) fossil fuel reserves and provided Putin with the means and motive to invade the Ukraine. It is hard to imagine a conspiracy that would be more damaging to America's influence in world affairs.
