Who said envirowhackos were totally nuts? I mean what about more important things like will ‘America’s Got Talent’ air at its regularly scheduled times if cities go up in mushroom clouds.

This is the kind of joke people like telling with their lower lip twitching in anticipation!

Will Russia go right to it's biggest blockbusters that yield highest radiation or will Putin start off with tactical weapons.
It will probably depend of the location of his enemy.

War doesn't give a crap about their precious little "save muh planet" bullshit.

Nuclear war would be like giving the planet a massive enema. It'd be ugly for awhile but in the aftermath, the planet would be better off ;)

On another message board, we did the math for snuffing out a hurricane with a nuclear bomb ... it wasn't pretty ...

All atmopheric traces of the blast would have disappeared within fifteen minutes ... nukes are a lot of energy in a short period of time ... powerful ... hurricanes are a little less energy but far far far longer ... performs more work ... there's a difference between the two ...

I'm pretty sure that with millions laying dead unburied in destroyed cities as billions more stagger around with a wrecked infrastructure with no food, hospitals, heat, water or light that the weather won't be the biggest issue on people's minds.

nukes are a lot of energy in a short period of time ...hurricanes are a little less energy but far far far longer ... performs more work ...

That is only because the source of fuel feeding an atomic bomb is used up in a split second while hurricanes are continually replenished with more energy from the ocean for days or weeks.
