Ravens Steelers game for playoff birth

Burrow definitely took a dive. Garrett was gifted 1.5 sacks this year. The Burrow dove and the Allen .5 sack.
It was just an unimpressive sack, but those kinds of sacks happen all the time. If you watch that play again Garrett perfectly timed the snap count and was around the L end immediately, and Burrow saw that and felt that pressure. I used to see Brady do the same thing all the time, he'd go down to avoid a strip-sack or big hit.

Do you have any idea how many people would have to keep that a secret? Like I said moron
People who say sports is directly rigged are so dumb.

There are at times clear suspect occurrences, and perhaps phone calls made in certain situations.. but to say it was scripted and everyone was in on it is just drama queens.

To be fair I have less issue with that sack than the Allen half sack. I’m also still butthurt about the sack they took away from TJ the year he tied the record.

ITMT, as I'm sure everyone knows, Baltimore has fired Harbaugh and ironically, he had a slightly better win record than Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin!

An interesting stat: I understand that as of right now, no less than EIGHT NFL head coaches have been fired after playing and losing to the Steelers under Mike Tomlin.

MONDAY NIGHT GAME:
  • Pittsburgh has won something like 22 or 23 monday night games straight. The Steelers are a mensch for some reason whenever they play on a Monday night.
  • Houston has won 9 games straight including last week to the Colts.
  • But Houston sucks at playing outdoor, away games in the cold.
  • Pittsburgh will have their #1 WR Metcalf back after his 2-week suspension for punching a fan.
  • Pittsburgh has Aaron Rodgers as QB.

Since that’s a wild conspiracy theory with zero evidence to back it up I’m going to guess. 0 including Billups.

Sit down one day and watch the 2005 finals games the Piston's lost. Chauncey threw those games. Oh what you don't think that's possible? Didn't he just get caught in a scandal?

Right around the same time this guy was rigging games.

Provide any evidence. ANY. But we both know you won’t.

Seriously, it might take a whole tanker full of holy water this time, but actually, many experts are saying they don't totally dislike Pittsburgh's chances of winning this game. Of course, if Pittsburgh somehow beats the Texans, then they'd face Denver in the Divisional playoffs and would surely be beaten. Especially as Denver is a better team, now well rested, and the Steelers are going to feel like hammered shit after the pounding of Houston's defense who punishes you with every hit.

BTW, if anyone needs to know the wildcard schedule, here it is:

I read Houston doesn't play well in the cold. We'll see.

True. Houston has lost every away game especially ones outside in the cold.
But they are also on a 9 game winning streak.

ITMT, Pittsburgh has Aaron Rodgers as QB, they have Metcalf back (their #1 receiver who just returned from a 2 game suspension), and Pittsburgh has not lost a Monday night game in something like the last 22-23 times they've played one.

So, it is anyone's guess who will win. I just hope that as a Steeler fan, that if Pittsburgh loses, they at least are BEATEN and out-played, and don't lose due to simply not showing up to play at all like they did a few weeks back with the 3-13 Browns (who CRUSHED the Steelers).

It would be nice to actually see Pittsburgh WIN one playoff game for a change.

Yes. I don't buy it. Cold means nothing but to 50+ FGs'. Maybe a slicker (harder) ball to pass? Not much. Recievers got top dollar gloves. One-handed catches the norm now.

Wind (not cold) can and will kill a passing game.

HOU is very solid this year. Came back from way down to beat JCKVILLE late.

PITT seems not solid but has won games weirdly?

How did BALT let receivers run middle of field wide open, behind the DB? Huh? PITT had no real steady ground game. Was it always a mistake? How?

They run sideline plays too often, overlook the middle. Lousy oline.

But apparently it does matter. Teams like Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh are accustomed to cold, wintry, outdoor weather. Many teams are not. They play mostly in warm, air-conditioned, indoor stadiums on perfect astroturf.

Wind (not cold) can and will kill a passing game.
There was no wind last week when Baltimore lost to Pittsburgh after they missed an easy 44 yard FG kick that missed the uprights by 30 feet. It wasn't even close. Even better, Haubaugh passed up an opportunity to get closer.

Houston is a great team. No one will be surprised if they beat Pittsburgh. They are favored to win. They SHOULD win.

Pittsburgh is as un-solid as they come. From week to week, their playing swings from championship caliber to looking like a bunch of BOOBS. If the Steelers win Monday night, it will probably come as a result of:
  1. The Texans have a particularly bad week or bad luck.
  2. More horrible referee calls.
  3. The Steelers having an especially strong week.
  4. Pure f-ing dumb Pittsburgh luck, like how Baltimore missed an easy FG to lose the game.

You would expect it to be weird ugly, HOU 12 PITT 9? With a safety. Or all FG? A safety?

But then when it ends 37-34 in OT please ignore predictions. You never know. Only wind can kill the game. Cold means little.

SD used to play CIN or KC tough at 30 below? Correct?

One time a Bellicheck team did not throw a single pass until late in the game (wind). Maybe 4 of 6 on the day?

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Taking the ball out of rookie quarterback Mac Jones' hands in wind gusts over 40 mph and relying on their running game, the New England Patriots defeated the Buffalo Bills 14-10 at Highmark Stadium on Monday night to enter their bye week as the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Overall, Jones was just 2-of-3 passing for 19 yards, while the Patriots ran for 222 yards on 46 carries.
