Raskin Calls For Impeachment of Elon Musk Who Is NOT in Elected Office

Nominees are as well, those from an elected official. Was Musk a nominee? who voted for him? He was hired by trump as a new hire.

That means every bureaucrat is eligible as well.

Nominees can't be impeached because they do not hold an office.

But lets return to the basic question which you deflected from.

"Are you trying to say that only elected officials (Federal) are subject to impeachment?"

Yes or no?

No. Judges and Officers can be impeached. Musk is neither

Thank you.

Which is what I was going to point out from a Constitutional standpoint if jc456 had elected to answer the question. Now, since Musk is a Special Employee, the question he can be impeached as an officer is open. Impeachment could result in his holding any position of trust with the United States government.

Then why do demofks talk about impeaching Clarence Thomas every other thursday?

I answer how I answer. I owe you no yes or no response.

Judges are nominated and confirmed. Right? Why then can they be impeached if that answer from you they can't be? you're all over the box of kitty litter.

Thomas is not a “nominee” dope. He’s a Justice and as such subject to Impeachment

You know, the one thing that is top of mind for me today is, if musk and trump aren't allowed to look into individuals bank accounts, how does the DOJ and AG's do it, like they did for those who protested against wuhan with their trucks?

I really like double standard demofks who have a melt down when retribution comes to them.

Are you really this stupid or is it pretense…

Either way it’s embarrassing

Prove that happened

How did he get into the Supreme Court? Was he confirmed by the Senate?

Wow. You really are this stupid.

Before he was confirmed he was ONLY a nominee. His confirmation could be denied but suggesting Impeachment (which simply means “removal for cause”) is stupid.

Once he is confirmed he can be removed (impeached)

Damn. You are dumb

No you didn't answer, you tried to bring nominees as an example. Which was incorrect as nominees aren't officers of the United States until they are confirmed, at which point once they take their oath of office they become an officer (subject to impeachment) but at that point they are no longer a nominee.

Rawley provided you with the correct answer. The VP and President can be impeached. Officers of the United States can be impeached (non-elected). Representatives and Senators (elected) cannot be impeached.

Glad to clarify for you what is actually in the Constitution.

Judges can be impeached once confirmed. I nominee for a judgeship prior to confirmation and taking the oath. Sorry that confuses you.

No it's not. He has zero authority, other than the power to look at the books. And it's frankly a moot point, he'll be gone by the fourth of the July

Technically Justice Thomas could have been impeached while he was a nominee to the Supreme Court.

That's because Justice Thomas was an active Federal Judge on the DC District Court of Appeals. He couldn't be impeached based on his "nominee" status, but he could be impeached because he was a sitting Federal Judge. Context and timing does matter.

Looking for gvt employees and Reps/Senators that have participated in any fraud is the job of the DOJ. The DOJ has subpoena power. DOGE only has the authority to look at public books, not private.

Come on. You know Musk can be impeached. There is no chance of aconviction.
Only the lowest of the lowlifes would even suggest he should be impeached. The very people who had a huge hand in making DOGE necessary are wanting to impeach the auditor(s) who are taking care of it.
