But it wasn't in one of Trumps 12 boxes in Mar-a-lego so - it doesn't make the headlines.
Maybe the only way to get anyone on the left to care is if someone would have reported a rape in the Capital on Jan 6th.

I’d love not having to talk about Trump, but he just won’t go away! :hhello:

Isn't NYPDs budget a record right now? $11B or so, plus $800M in overtime? I read an article a couple of days ago that suggested O.T in NYPD is eating the budget as some are making bank.

Policing for the most part, especially if police manufacture threats as they do in Toronto; leads to the same failures against REAL crime.

You want to prevent an illness, not try to cure it once it's in stage 3. Throwing more money at a problem only encouraged unethical jackals to milk the taxpayer.

Overtime is up because so many officers quit and retired early.

So there aren't people in New York who want to make $100K+ a year with gold plated healthcare and pensions with minimal economic investment?

If you can't find people to do a job like that (in Canada they stay literally 45-50 years in their positions), than you have a bigger problem than crime.

Most of them quit because the job became too dangerous, they had no political or societal support and everyone they arrested was out within hours.

Not in NYC....if you do your job in that pelosihole you end up in jail yourself.

This is the way the people who run that shithole want it. And the voters support them.

People forget the police are only the intake part of the criminal justice system. The majority of the work is done at the DA level, and DA's who want to do their job are hamstrung by the new bail laws the State government doesn't want to fix, and there are other DA's who are more interested in social justice than actual justice.
