The notion that George W Bush would be considered a good President, by any measure, is just breathtaking.

The mess he left behind was historic.

The removal of the Taliban regime and the Saddam Hussein regime were historic victories in defending the United States and the world. The economic recession of 2008-2009 was primarily the fault of deregulatory practices that occurred before Bush was in office. Economically, George W. Bush's time in office had one of the lowest average unemployment rates in history.

and yet we in the PO were delivering more unemployment checks than we had seen in quite a while....

According to the bureau of labor statistics, that's false. Bush had record low unemployment for 7 out of his 8 years in office. It was only in his last 6 months in office that the unemployment rate stayed above 5% and went up from there. The much higher levels of unemployment were reached during the first years of the Obama administration.

Some of the best things he ever did as President. In 2019, we live in a world created by Roosevelt and Truman.

FDR was a piece of shit that didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground about economics or many other things.

The Great Depression was a world wide Depression and most countries got out of it pretty damn quick. FDR's failed policies with government intervention prolong the Depression significantly in the US. Then you had failures like Social Security that was nothing more than a government Ponzi scheme.

LBJ was an asshole that created this filthy ass welfare state in order to get the greedy Neggras to vote Democrat. He didn't have a clue on how to fight the Vietnam War. His idea to fight it in South Vietnam on the enemy's terms results in tens of thousands of unnecessary American deaths. It took Nixon to put a stop to that and the carry the war to the North. Then you had other LBJ disasters.

Democrats have always been a disaster for this country and FDR and LBJ could be co poster children for that honor.
