Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, taken from about 13.8 miles away.

Ancient ƒ/3.8 85-205mm Vivitar zoom lens mounted on my Nikon D3200. ƒ/22, composite of three images taken at 1⁄40, 1⁄80 and 1⁄160 of a second.

I was at 38° 31' 56.24" North, 121° 2' 39.43" West.

The actual nuclear power plant was shut down a very long time ago. But SMUD still owns it and the surrounding land, and has set up a solar farm and a natural-gas-fueled power plant on the property.

There's a photo in the OP's first post, as well as a link that shows you an aerial view of the station. The aerial photo in the link is the one where you can see the station surrounded by solar panels.

No wonder you can't see the photo in the OP, you have the OP on ignore. Thanks, you just gave me yet another reason why I don't ever put people on ignore.

If I put him on ignore there's undoubtedly good reason for it. I don't do it often...
