If your boss came out as Trans tomorrow and said she wanted to be addressed as "Jennifer", I doubt you'd walk off and quit in disgust that day. (You might send out resumes and do a job search, I suspect).

The counter question, obviously, is this: Does it kill them to allow others to address them using societal norms? If they look and dress like a woman, does it kill them if someone calls them by female pronouns? If they look and dress like a man, does it kill them if someone calls them by male pronouns?

Here's the beauty of your last paragraph, we currently have the freedom to decide for ourselves how we would react if the boss came out as trans and wanted to be called something other than what he was. We CAN call him that, we CAN call him what we want to and take the risk he gets mad, or we CAN quit the job. The fantasy from the usual suspects is for us to be FORCED to call someone something they are not. IOW, it's up to you if you want people to call you a howler monkey, and it's up to the rest of us if we will.

I'll give you a different case. Breast Augmentations. No one really needs those, but there are 300,000 boob jobs performed in the US every year.

Silicone breast implants have been linked to Cancer, but women are still getting it done.

I don't hear any of you complaining about that, for some reason.

just like surgically mutilating and chemically castrating them should be a crime.
