Again, you are trying to play word games and lump differing ideologies into two categories, right and left. At the same time, you choose to ignore the socialist tenets of fascism, trying to smokescreen with a "conservative fascism" red herring.
True conservatives cannot be fascists. Do bear in mind I did not say NEOCONS, Republicans, religious fundies or just any politician can't be.
Smaller government and government at the lowest level, personal accountability and maximum personal freedom ... all tenets of conservatism AND the US Constitution ... are in direct contrast to fascism and socialism where the state controls all at every level and redistributes wealth as it sees fit.
Or takes over takes over a a private sector auto manufacturer, a bank, healthcare and now is ranting about Wall Street.
What needs to be controlled is Obama and his fearmongering government takeover of the private sector.
Healthcare is the only valid argument there, Gunny. No one "took over" the banks; in fact, they're right back in business which is why financial reform is needed. You disagree with that? Fine, I wonder what you'll say when they screw you over again. As for the auto industry, neither Obama nor GM/Chrysler want to be "owned" by the government. Without that "bailout" (again, those were loans not purchase agreements), tens of thousands more would be standing in unemployment lines.
The Fed has seized AIG. A bank. Obama made it clear to GM if they didn't play ball with Obama they wouldn't get bailed out. He (Obama) replaced the GM of GM. He hijacked healthcare.
So what did I miss? Now. he's after the SEC.
When do we pay for this? After he's out of office? By then, he's got a set 5-figure income.
When the state dictates to the private sector and controls at every level, that's fascism. I'll take the GOP and their pansy attitude of do-nothingness every time over detrimental to our civil liberties.
