A relatively new, and very radical (if not flat-out racist) organization known as ColorofChange.org, is contacting corporations and DEMANDING that they pull out from donating $$ to the GOP National Convention, scheduled for July 2016, Cleveland, Ohio, as a response to what they call Donald Trump’s “hateful and racist rhetoric.” The audacity of these guys is breathtaking. Here's a partial rundown of recent events >>
1. Color of Change has collected more than 100,000 signatures on a petition demanding that Coca-Cola and other companies decline to sponsor the convention. Donating to the event, the petition states, is akin to endorsing Mr. Trump’s “hateful and racist rhetoric.”
2.Al Sharpton would be proud to see the tactics of these scoundrel bullies. Executive director of Color of Change, Rashad Robinson said “These companies have a choice right now, a history-making choice. Do they want riots brought to us by Coca-Cola?” As so often is the case with black activist groups, there is no peaceful, polite request. There's only the typical DEMAND, coupled with threats of riots. Robinson said also >> “We walked them through what a public campaign would look like,” explaining that he described possible protests outside Coca-Cola headquarters, and in Cleveland, against the company.
3. Coca-Cola has declined to match the $660,000 it gave for the 2012 Republican convention, donating only $75,000 for this year and indicating that it does not plan to provide more. But even that wasn't enough for the Color of Change rascals. They DEMANDED that ALL of the $$ be withdrawn, and that Coca-Cola should be asking for a refund of $75,000. After imploring the company to withdraw its support for the Republican convention, the thug org distributed their provocative anti-Trump online petition with an image of a Coca-Cola bottle, labeled “Share a Coke with the K.K.K.,” Although they did buckle under to the threats, and reduced their donation amount, to their credit, Coca-Cola has not sought a refund of the $75,000 it gave to the Republican convention, nor has it agreed to refuse to make in-kind contributions.
4. After the killing of Trayvon Martin, in 2012,Color of Change helped pressure corporations like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Pepsi to leave the American Legislative Exchange Council, a conservative organization that promoted the “Stand Your Ground” gun laws that became a controversy after Martin’s death.
5. The Color of Change campaign is now being joined by Hispanic, Muslim and women’s rights organizations. The advocacy groups have also been in contact with Google, Cisco and AT&T and said the companies would be targetedif they did not withdraw their contributions and vow to give no more. More threats.
6. I heard today on TV that Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, and WalMart are also joining the anti-Trump bandwagon with ludicrous pronouncements regarding alleged Trump racism. What a joke for these hypocrites to shoot arrows at Trump while flashing the ever-present RACE CARD, when we all know that Trump is in opposition to their traitorous H1B visa policies that are bringing in low-wage foreigners, and dumping long-time, loyal American workers, while even forcing them to train the incoming foreigners taking their jobs and livelihoods away.
