Statement from Grand Valley Police Department Chief Renee Freeman:

The Grand Valley State University Police Department has concluded a thorough investigation of the Racial Bias incident reported on February 17, 2014. The person believed to be responsible for the drawing and language written on the dry erase board is a Grand Valley student and the owner of the message board.

The incident has had a disruptive impact on the community and as a result, the student has been referred to the Dean of Students for a student code violation. University policy does not permit the release of his/her name.

A good defense lawyer will simply say that no wrong doing occurred. There's a stick figure hanging. The stick figure is white. The word black is written nearby. The word "black" doesn't necessarily point to a black person. Black would/could also indicate death. So the entire drawing could simply mean "death." It could also be argued that the owner of the board was playing an association game of some sort to see how folks would react. He could argue that it was an experiment he was doing for sociology class.

Food for thought.

The fact that drawing a white person instead of a black = making it ok. Shows the attitude towards whites in this country. Blacks are always butt hurt and will destroy common sense to get their way.
