My son lived in the UK for several years and said racism in UK and Europe was mostly overt and not blatant. Sad, all these 1000’s of years and people judge others by skin color.

Ms Pochin just repeated Trump's talking point on DEI. Black British people make up only 3% of the British population but they were featured in 51% of British TV ads in 2022, which is disproportionate. You can rarely see black people in rural areas such as Cambridgeshire.

"The point I was making is that many British TV adverts have gone DEI [diversity, equity and inclusion] mad and are now unrepresentative of British society as a whole," she said.

She cited a Channel 4 study which found that the proportion of adverts featuring black people jumped after the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, from 37% in 2020 to 51% in 2022.
