Racist comments by an OK county commissioner and sheriff.............

Wanna explain how their 1st Amendment rights were violated?
Wanna explain how the entire party you promote is oozing with corrupt sociopaths from the potato on down that do some of the most vile shit since Caligula yet you're here to piss and moan about some obscure deputies in a place you probably hate anyway venting about people they're sick of dealing with on a LEO level?

Some assbag recording the other assbags then using it to defame them.....Mr recording guy should have the shit sued out of him.

The last I checked it was not against the law to say stupid shit.

Not a violation of the 1st. Might wanna go back and re-read what it is, because the sheriff, the council person and the others there were allowed to say all the stupid crap they wanted.

Deflection noted.

Mr. Recorder might have committed a felony.

Penalties:

Okla. Stat. Ann. tit. 13, § 176.3: Recording a conversation in violation of Oklahoma law is considered a felony.

Okla. Stat. Ann. tit. 21, § 1171(B): Illegally recording people when they have a reasonable expectation of privacy and disseminating materials obtained from such act is considered a felony punishable by imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $5000 or both.

Interesting. A sheriff, OK county commissioner (who was Republican by the way) and 2 other people were caught making racist comments about lynching blacks and reporters. They didn't realize that there was a recorder in the room, and interestingly enough, it wasn't to catch them making racist statements, but rather for something else that would have been less controversial.

McCurtain Co. commissioner resigns amid controversy over violent remarks

McCurtain County District 2 Commissioner Mark Jennings has resigned after allegedly being recorded discussing the murder of journalists and lynching Black Oklahomans with members of the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office.

The McCurtain Gazette-News reported that after a March 6 county meeting, officials discussed killing a reporter that works for the paper, and making racist comments toward Black people. The conversation is allegedly captured on an audio recording, and was released online publicly over the weekend.

Apparently, he decided to immediately resign, as he knew he couldn't spin this away. And, the sheriff has been suspended, pending an investigation where he may end up being fired.

Way to go Republicans!
Yea because white democrats never talk about blacks in a negative way with each other. The most racist stuff I have ever heard in my life came from white liberals.

Yet when Dems (see the Squad) spout Anti-Semitic comments on national television, silence from the left. When Dems spout racist comments (see just about any Dem talking about Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, etc) on national television, silence from the left. The hypocrisy is staggering.

So now you're shifting from a 1st Amendment violation (what you'd claimed), to now talking about recording laws in OK? Way to move the goalposts dude.
