Somebody wrote me a CC and the name was incorrect

They then crossed out the name and put the right one

I realized its a CC and told them I needed a new check as the banks wont accept it

IT then lead to a giant verbal altercation in the store and who is right

They demanded a receipt and I gave them a hand written paper one and they refused to accept it

I told them I would not give them a real receipt until I was sure the bank approved

What a joke

I don't like cashiers checks unless I know who is paying me with one.
It takes way too long before it's known to be counterfeit.

The answer is once it's printed it cannot be changed.

Cashiers Checks are issued and guaranteed by the bank. They are made out to a specific payee for a specific amount and are guaranteed by the bank, usually for very large transactions. If they are altered in any way, they are void. You can't fill them out for yourself or just change the name on the check. And in all regards, you should call the issuing bank first to verify it is legit.

So you are selling the business, right? You haven't changed your mind, right?
