My first real experience with people on government handouts - and how entitled they feel to other people’s money - was when I had a job as a teen around Christmas, and the office had a Santa tree.
The single mothers with kids were part of a group of recipients, and they were told to give their “wish list items” - and OMG. Did they ask for pajamas, or a little $15 toy? Nope. Full-fledged electronics like big TVs, 10-speed bikes, etc.
And we were told NO used items. Everything had to be new. Then, in the assigned day, they came in with their kids, rummaged around for their gifts, and LEFT WITHOUT EVEN A THANK-YOU. They didn’t even look at us and smile.
Someine later told me they sell the items for cash.
This is the entitled mindset of government takers. And now you want 10 million MORE of them, from foreign countries, to swarm in?
