Hey well they could have just taken his guns away and then put him on probation. Was it his first offence ?

I think it was the fact that the victim was armed with a pen that tipped the scales.

Don't take the chance and do not let them close the distance, with your weapon still in the holster. Better ammo, would mean you probably do not have to empty your weapon. If I did empty mine into them, I would probably be facing charges, as some of them would undoubtedly be after he was laying on the ground. I carry 15 and 1, all of them Federal LE/Personal defense rounds.
