Qatar AFB…in Idaho.

I read this a little while ago. I have to admit I don't get this. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I'm not sure how much Qatar can be trusted. I certainly wouldn't trust them to have war planes based in Idaho. I don't see any way to spin this positively.
Why don't you get it? They gave Trump sweet BILLION Dollar business contracts and his own jet. Its all out in the open.

Qatar hasn't offended me. But I just don't think you should be selling them fighter jets. Now, if you are selling them to a proper ally like Canada, then yeah I can sort of get onboard with it. But an Islamist country situation in the Middle East who follows a completely different religion and whose people also look totally different? How can it possibly be a good idea.

Well then us selling them to Saudi Arabia should really get your panties in a twist. LMAO

Trust me I don't care if you are selling your best war tech to possibly unfriendly nations. But I just think it's very foolish. Apparently you badly want to arm nations who can very easily turn hostile (Such as Saudi Arabia)

Anyway you are behaving in a way that is both unprofessional and childish. I have a good point, that you shouldn't be selling your war tech to countries who have dubious relationships with you. Somehow you feel right to mock me for this.

I meant "you" as in your country, not you personally.
You forget, I do not particularly like to be lumped in with groups (as if I had ownership or decision making effect, especially when I do not support their action. We started selling them to Quatar in 2017, under a President, who's main concern is, the right people make money. I did not support that action then, and certainly do not support giving them a base, here, now, under that same President.

Well thanks for clarifying your position. Just so that we are clear, I wasn't lumping you in with the rest of them. I was just speaking in general terms. I really think your country's policy of selling sensitive war tech to potentially unfriendly nations is very very foolish and risky.

All you have is your opinion, BTW Biden approved selling F-15s to Egypt 3 years ago. We also train their pilots, I don't recall such a bru-ha-ha back then.

But my opinion is a reasonable one, though. What reasons do YOU have for selling jets to a country like Qatar?

Actually, I think you'll see a lot of Trump supporters, not ok with this.

They're OK with hiding the Epstein list, OK with increasing the debt ceiling, national debt, deficit. They're OK with bombing Iran, Yemen. They're OK with funding and supplying Ukraine and Israel.
This is nothing for them to bend over for.

They'll find a way to like it.

Agreed.

Largest US military base in the Middle East is in Qatar. They allowed us there, I’m not worried about them being another ally allowed to have a tiny building on an Air Force Base to train their fighters with ours.
