Putin's plans are enormous. He plans to use Boris Johnson and an Incompetent trump to topple the alliance among Liberal Democracies. He figures that Brexit will drive Britain's economy to its knees and trump's irresponsible tariffs will send the US economy into a recession....but.....

The British Parliament has wrestled control away from Johnson....the UK version of trump....and the tariffs are. beginning to eat into a good economy exactly at the wrong time to re elect the idiot....Putin chosen....trump. Face it....the economy is the only thing keeping trump above 35% approval....

The crack is there. It may take time for it to become obvious to everyone....especially trump cult members. But the Kremlin celebrated early on the night trump was elected.. If the Dems don't become full fledged Socialist next year....trump will be a one term president.....who will be handcuffed as he walks off the podium handing the Dems the Presidency in January 2021...A DAY OF TRUE CELEBRATION!

Brace yourself for another ass kicking by Trump. :)

You know, I'm waiting to see which happens in the next 3 to 6 months, either Trump caves in and takes off the tariffs, or he will keep them in place and crash the economy. Either way, he's screwed. If he stops the tariffs, his base will rise up against him for being a wimp and caving in to China. If he tanks the economy, he won't be reelected.

Either way, he's screwed, because he painted himself into a corner.

I'm not aware of previous failed predictions by this poster

Well, if the tariffs are left in place then most of his supporters will find that the prices at their local Wal Mart have increased significantly over the next few months. I don't think that the small tax cut that Trump gave the middle class is going to be able to overcome the price increases because of the tariffs.

You are the one who is screwed if you think that allowing China to destroy the manufacturing base of this country is Ok.

He is not going to crash the economy lol...if seeking a level trading field with China is going to upset the world too damn bad...this is something we have to do either now with tariffs or later with blood...but our economy is strong and will remain strong...the world wants to do business with us for many more reasons than money.....China is the one in the hot seat not the USA or Trump....have some faith brother...jeeze...doom and gloom libs bore me....

It'll break near even. And even is great given the stakes!

What manufacturing base? Most of the jobs that were sent to China was done a long time ago, under both Republican and Democrat presidents. Matter of fact it was started by Nixon (a Republican).

And, my Grandparents were big believers in buying American wherever they could, which is why my Grandfather ordered his boots from Red Wing and wore clothes from Dickies. But, sadly, now Red Wing only makes about 29 percent of their product from American supplies, made with American labor, and Dickies are made mainly overseas. Both used to be made here in America.

Matter of fact, that is one of the reasons I chose to ride Trek bicycles, as their frames are built here, and the bikes are assembled here, but good luck in finding bike components made by American manufacturers. You might be able to find a stem, or maybe a seat post made here, but nothing in the drivetrain (derailers and brakes), as those are made in Japan (Shimano) or Europe (most other bike companies).

Matter of fact, good luck in finding clothing that is made here in the US that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Sorry, but most manufacturing has left, and I don't really see anyone being willing to invest in building and tooling the factories required to bring it back.

I'll start with the 400,000 that have come back under trump. You may want to tuck tail and run for cover and let the chinese dictate to us what we do. But i don't.

You really need to pay attention to the posts you respond to. I didn't say parents, I said Grandparents. I was orphaned when I was 8.

The Democrats have passed the Socialist level some time ago. They are working on the election of Putin in as he is their best front runner at this time.
