The mere fact Putin made this threat is the very reason we cannot just push for peace and allow him to have what he wants. Then he will just keep doing it.

Russia has no incentive to negotiate peace at this point in time, and America's only option is in sending more weapons that risk a nuclear conflict.
America needs to allow Zelensky to sue for peace to save the rest of his country.

That then means that America is going to have to peacefully coexist with the China/Russia alliance.

"The west" had a deal on the table before the war started....They told Tenpercentskyy to reject it.

So how are the very people who caused this blood letting supposed to be the ones who broker any further deals?

Sorry, but no. The support given so far is the only reason they have held on for as long as they have.

It's the standard Dem approach to a problem. "Throw money at it, and the issue will fix itself"

They are simply on the wrong side of the manpower equation to do anything but hold or try to hold what they have. Giving them more division sets of equipment wouldn't work because they are starting to thin out of the bodies to use said equipment effectively.

You seem to understand that America has demanded that no negotiations take place, and then set up the facade' of Zelensky being against negotiations.

Yes, there was a deal ready to be signed at Minsk but the US and UK prevented it from happening.
