Problem is that this is very misleading . Public Schools MUST educate and transport all kids . Including the handicapped, behavior kids , and English as a 2nd language . Private schools don't !

I wonder what the voucher crowd thinks we should do with those kids?

So, you have the typical liberal opinion that if everyone can't choose their school, then no one should.

Some parents prefer certain schools. Why are you against letting them have that choice? I thought the left was pro-choice, but turns out that you would rather dictate on most things.

There are good reasons for wanting nearly all kids in Public Schools, that's where you learn to get along with the rest of your society. Good, bad, and otherwise.

You want to know why your health insurance costs so much? Because your paying for people with cancer, etc. Would you give them the finger and have their care cut off for a price cut? And take the chance of never getting that sick yourself?

Both my parents worked most of that time, my brother and I got to school on our own. Now people are bitching and crying if their kid has to walk 6 blocks.

But the government bureaucrats have found out that Americans are stupid and will tolerate tyranny. A little harsh I think, but one of the reasons we're not a third world country is because everybody here has a chance at education. Of course far right republicans would like to go back to Victorian England standards where poor kids go to school to learn how to pick pockets for a living.
