I don't know. Whether or not he broke through a police barricade can be proven or disproven but the indictment that he did so to "get himself in this situation" is pure assumption. But even if it's all true, it was still an idiotic decision for the woman to try and stop him. On that score, I have zero empathy for her.

Even if we put this incident aside for the moment and assume for the sake of argument that it never happened, there is a glaring aspect to all this that cannot be ignored: people are sick and tired of this shit. People are sick and tired of the righteous arrogance and sense of entitlement on display just because their panties are in a twist over some perceived injustice. It may or may not actually be an injustice but that doesn't matter. Their emotions do.

If he wanted to run people over he would not have stopped, but he stopped to let them get out of the way, they rushed his car in a threatening way, and he hit the gas to escape. Clearly self-defense.
