Zone1 Protestant churches named after Mary, like the famous Frauenkirche or Church of our Lady in Dresden

Fine!
But that does not answer my question.
Well, we have religion and then we have churches of that religion. Christianity has many thousands of different churches with different names and doctrines. Like, some are named after the prophet John the Baptist. The Baptist Church. The Southern Baptist Church... Jesus said to do all things in His name. So, that would be the Church of Jesus Christ. Do distinguish between the time in which Jesus lived on the earth before his death and these the latter days it would be correct to say, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'll take my bow now, thank you...:udaman:

my question is ...

many Protestants oppose the veneration of Mary

how come then, that some Protestant churches are named for Mary?
