Its called terminal lucidity.
What Is Terminal Lucidity?
Many people with end-stage dementia experience a sudden burst of energy and clarity called terminal lucidity. Here’s what we know about it.
30 years working in hospitals and this is the first time I ever heard of this. This is a condition caused by severe brain damage due to stroke, dementia, psychosis trauma, etc. The person is so impaired they cant recognize their own family, lost their personality and all memory. Then suddenly it all comes back, everything, and they are normal. A day or two later they die. The only explanation is the mind can exist without a functioning brain. Thats what we call the soul. These cases are well documented. So there is a soul and an afterlife.
