Trump said it was about fentanyl

Im good with either. Muduro is a shit head. Id hope for them they get rid of him and go back to Democracy. Would be better for them.

I think Puitin is a shithead, and Russia should get rid of him and go back to a true Democracy,. Would be better for them and the rest of the world,

But as Mick Jagger said, "You can't always get want you want."

And John Lennon, "All we are saying, is give peace a chance."

Who cares about ecological catastrophe.
It would be a catastrophe to international commerce, making every cargo ship vulnerable to the dictates of hostile nations claiming the same right.
Actually, the harm is already made. And, at least, China is already preparing to the near future of "lawless ocean". If one side violate the international order and freedom of navigation, all others will also do it.

Right, and china already has

But he do exactly what True Democratic Countries do.
You know, like invading foreign countries, killing political opponents, robbing resources from distant lands and so on....
There is the difference between being a "democratic country" and being a "colony of a democratic country". Like the difference between "to eat" and "to be eaten".

Building the USS Gerald R. Ford took about 12 years, with construction starting in 2005 and the carrier being commissioned in 2017,
The ship still has growing pains. It was designed for the F 35 and cannot use them yet due to technology issues with the ship.

Um, dummy, the reason why they don't have battleships anymore is that they were proven obsolete in World War II. They were easily destroyed by aircraft carriers.

The last countries to have them were the US and the UK. The UK Scrapped all theirs by the 1950s.

We keep dragging out the poor Iowa Class every few years.

This is how useful battleship are in the modern age.

The Navy tried to blame one of the dead sailors before it admitted they were useless.

Irrelevant to the current discussion. We are not discussing the old battleships.

Where did you get that silly idea? I have never heard that and I follow numerous naval warfare sites.
It has F 18's on it. They keep delaying the follow-on carriers to a much slower release even with problems of building infrastructure due to technical issues.

China is no push over. They have a large airforce which we would need ti assust in taking out.

A sneak atrack with missles could cripple Taiwan from the beginning.

Id hope they have a
Iron dome. 128 vls can be modeled to fire surface to air missiles in a matter of minutes.
Most of China's air force is 1970s Russian technology.

President Donald Trump is expected to announce plans for a new class of large US Navy surface combatants he has described as “battleships”, according to reports in U.S. media.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the announcement is due on Monday and will form part of what the White House is calling a broader “Golden Fleet” vision for revitalising the US Navy. The proposal would mark a significant departure from current US naval force structure, which has focused on aircraft carriers, destroyers, submarines and increasingly unmanned platforms rather than heavily armed capital ships

According to U.S. officials cited by the Journal, the planned vessels would be larger than existing destroyers and cruisers, with some reports suggesting displacement in the region of 15,000 to 20,000 tonnes. While the administration has revived the historic “battleship” label, defence analysts quoted in U.S. coverage note that the ships would not resemble the heavily armoured gun platforms of the 20th century, but instead function as large, missile-armed surface combatants.

Meh, just take the Nimitz, put a new reactor in her, and turn her into a PrSM platform.

Imagine an aircraft carrier deck absolutely covered in PrSM launchers, with a whole hanger deck below filled with reloads.

The Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) is a new series of GPS-guided missiles, which will begin to replace ATACMS missiles in 2024. PrSM carries a newly designed area-effects warhead and has a range of 60–499 km (37–310 mi). -wiki

meh, too slow to turn, and too easy a target.
