Analysis: The 22 wildest lines from Donald Trump's 12(!)-page statement on the January 6 committee

In an autocracy or a dictatorship the word of the autocrat or the dictator is law and is final, no appeal. Any law on the books or proposed or a Constitution of any kind is subject to the approval and/or interpretation by the autocrat or dictator.
Trump seems to think that that's the kind of system we have in America, or if not, the system we should have with himself as the autocrat.
Well, that ain't the way America functions. We are a nation of laws with a Constitution as bedrock. Whether in the courts of law or the courts of public opinion statements of fact require evidence. Trump doesn't get that, never has, never will. But that's the way it is in America, and until he is elected again and can put his autocracy in place, that's the way things will be.
The link referenced is full of Trump statements of fact. But again, he offers no evidence to support his claims. Just take his word for it.
