Before prohibition there were several breweries in every town.

There was an effort, mostly by Christians ,to ban alcohol in America due to the negative effects it was having on society.

One day the government, who always represents the rich, said "you know what? yous right! we's gonna ban alcohol!"

They passed prohibition.

One brewery said "OK we's gonna switch to making cheese!"

Another brewery said "OK we's gonna switch to shippin milk!"

...and they left their alcohol making devices intact.

So for 13 years (Masonic occult number 13) alcohol was "banned", people paid a premium for it, and "bootleg" alcohol was shipped directly to the politicians who allegedly banned it , at the capitol building.

Then, it was declared that prohibition was a failure and the law was over-turned.

The breweries that still had their supplies (10% of them ) immediately went back to making alcohol , and now focused on their distribution, because they now had a nation-wide market that was handed to them by politicians and their phony prohibition law.

The "Mafia" existed well before Prohibition.

By the way, the former (now deceased) Gov. Cuomo of NY strongly condemned anyone who ever suggested that there even is a "Mafia."
