Let’s take a look at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of which 95% of its members voted for Zelensky. They are being persecuted for numerous reasons for speaking Russian for holding onto their traditions. For looking up to Soviet soldiers in World War II, who fought against Nazism…..as being heroes….

Which invaded countries had elections? WW2 saw the UK not have a general election for 10 years from 1935 to 1945. Did that make Churchill a dictator?

Yes, the US had elections in WW2. But the US hadn't been INVADED. Neither the Japanese nor the Germans controlled a single part of any US state.

Was it a mistake for the UK to cancel their elections? No. The UK still has its democracy, its monarchy, it fought off the Germans.
