Deregulating the economy is one hell of a difference from taking the regulations off of polluting the environment. And that is what the orange clown has promised to do. Go back to the '50's in terms of deregulating what kinds of poisons the corporations can dump on us.

To be honest, I really don't keep track of who is who most of the time. If you're a self-proclaimed "leftist" of ANY kind, you're an idiot in my book. I don't care who you vote for, your ideology is fucked up.

I've had difference of opinions with Toro and Jake as well as you. I have differences of opinions with people on the right and left these days. I believe in the Constitution and free market capitalism and I prefer a Conservative (i.e. pragmatic and measured) philosophy of governing. I don't generally favor "radical" changes. I prefer minor changes and tweaks instead.

I think the biggest problem we have right now with regard to our economy is the strangling and choking regulatory burden of government which has been controlled mostly by anti-capitalists the past 8 years. This, heaped on top of the previous 8 years of a pro-corporatist administration and their policies. We need a return to FREE MARKET capitalism where we encourage and support free enterprise from the private sector. That means getting rid of the special interest regulations as well as the crony corporatist loopholes.
