That video says otherwise. Air traffic control kept saying that there was an incoming plane. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense even if he didn't hear him. The airplane and the helicopter were nose to nose. How could the pilots not see the other one?

They were not nose to nose and the ATC did not tell him which of the two aircraft that he could see was the one crossing his path. The helo impacted crossing the CRJ's flight path for landing. It was almost 90 degrees off their flight path. The helo probably never saw the airliner. He saw a plane taking off in his direction. The CRJ was likely above him and to his left. he was too high to be crossing that glide slope. That's even what Trump has said.
