I don't think you understand. Many on the left believe we don't ever have to pay back the debt. As long as we just make payments on the debt, we don't have to actually ever pay the debt off. And, to make payments on the debt we can use monopoly money because we have the ability to print money at will, even if it gets printed on toilet paper. Meanwhile, inflation is through the roof and the left are scratching their heads as to why. In the meantime though, we can spend, spend, spend because all that spending helps the economy, enabling us make those payments on the debt.
