Pres Bush Is Popular Wordwide

The writer is going by persoanl experience

I reponded to one of your fellow Bush haters and pointed out those that hate us always turn to us for help and money

and we give it everytime - I would let them leave a message and get back to them later

Is that to deep for you?

So you believe that it is acceptable to say that the world doesn't hate President Bush and then 6 minutes later say the world hates Bush but loves our money.

Thats not just unintelligent, thats schizophrenic.

I was saying if they hate us so bad - why do they have their hand out to us?

I could not care less what other countries think of the US

Any time any country speaks bad about us I would cut every penny of foreign aid to them for one year

You're not getting it. I'm not refuting your point...don't you get it?

It's not the point you made, its the fact that you made two completely contradictory points in a matter of 6 minutes.

Is it my fault you are to stupid to see the hypocrisy of these nations that hate us?

That is what I am pointing out

In some coutries Bush is loved - some he is not

You are perhaps the most unintelligent person I have every conversed with -- ever.

If you can't see the idiocy of saying "Pres Bush is popular worldwide" and then 6 minutes later saying the "world hates Bush but loves our money"

I'll spell it out for you: One of those statements you made cannot be true. Which one is it?

I predict that RSR will never give you a straight answer to that question. I really think that, if he is not a crudely programmed neocon newsbot, and is in fact, human, that he is genetically incapable of ever admitting error.

Dr Grump, you are from the UK? If so, your claim of never asking the US for help is not true. From 1941 to 1945:

At today's prices, that's about $450 billion we gave to the UK during WW2; of which less than $100 billion was paid back. Never asked for help? That 350 billion times forgetful. And on your second point, you may not dislike America (good thing since you might come here), but the are plenty of British lefties (e.g., socialists and minorities from the former colonies) that despise America. It is not just Bush; the European aversion for America is much deeper than that; particularly in places like France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, and elsewhere.

It never ceases to amaze me how Americans imagine their Merchant of America governments dole out mountains of money without ever asking anything in return. And how they saved the world's collective arses in both world wars, especially in WW2, even though their combined casualties from all theatres amounted (compared to the USSR's) to the losses incurred in a minor trench raid on the Russian front. :eusa_whistle:

But wait. It would seem the Seppo Shylock secretly demanded his pound of flesh for his loans after all!

Here, I’ll summarize so even an immodest meat mauler like you will understand. You can fill in the blanks by researching WW2, not speed reading the lying patriotic pap that Lotus-eating Americans are fed from cradle to grave:

Even Sam and Lochie know that your implausibly altruistic America, by sitting back and supplying both sides and the middle before coming in at curtain call in WW1 & 2, had acquired most of the world’s gold.

Therefore, the U.S. knew the belligerents were broke (in fact they were still paying the U.S. for WW1!) even before they started WW2. So it shiftily stipulated repayments for its Trojan Horse loans would be in the form of “considerations,” rather than the gold that they didn’t have.

Instead, the United States would “lend” the supplies to the British, deferring payment. When payment eventually did take place, the emphasis would not be on payment in dollars. The tensions and instability engendered by inter-allied war debts in the 1920s and 1930s had demonstrated that it was unreasonable to expect that virtually bankrupt European nations would be able to pay for every item they had purchased from the United States. Instead, payment would primarily take the form of a “consideration” granted by Britain to the United States. After many months of negotiation, (i.e. blackmail - Chips) the United States and Britain agreed, in Article VII of the Lend-Lease agreement they signed, that this consideration would primarily consist of joint action directed towards the creation of a liberalized international economic order in the postwar world

And that NEW World Order, (Novus Ordo Seclorum?) started with Britains involuntary dismantlement of its Empire and Britain, and the world, (except the "evil" Commies) accepting the U.S. dollar as the de-facto world currency.

This effectively made the U.S. the single world hegemon where once there were half a dozen colonial powers vying for the title.

American altruism my arse!

So cut the self-congratulatory crap that was appreciatively programmed into your inherently reactionary head when you were a member of Ronnie Reagan Jugend.

Take off your John Wayne glasses and try looking at the world as it really is, not as Fux Channel paints it.

Ahh... but he's not from the UK. And as far as I know his country never did ask for our help. Sorry.

WILL YOU GET OFF THE POOR BACKWARD BASTARD'S BACK?!!

Gump is already peddling as fast as he can on his Militia, Masturbation, B & D, Guns & Ammo, and Klan links to find an apt cut n' paste to come back at you with! :eusa_drool: :eusa_drool:

It's fucking hard when you a monosyllabic moron, who has long since pulled your few brains out of the eye of your prick, and you have to point your finger at individual letters and makes their sounds to try to interpret what jawbreakers like "i-n-b-r-e-d" says!

Poor RSR is so dumb he thinks "dishonourable discharge" is what he does all over his keyboard when he sees an image of Dimwit!

When was the last time you admitted an error? Not defending him cause I think you are likely dead on. But I havent seen you much better.

My mistake. Sorry Dr Grump, I should not have assumed the UK, but that is why I said "if." May I ask what country?

What every Aussie seventh grader and his dogs knows ....and don't forget that American's worship of the armed services says it is sacrilege to contradict this bloke, who, unlike the many Fort Dix Fusileers I have encountered on BBS, is a Vietnam vet who saw plenty of action.

.....Hmmmm, maybe us O-o-wssies are God's master race...not the Americans? :eusa_think:

I mean it sure seems Cafflik (Oh the humilation of it! :eusa_doh: ) seventh grade is equivalent to, at the very least, a college education up in Bubbalon. :D

I think your missing Red State's point made.........

Basically, that we are generally liked, but those that hate us still will take the Almighty American dollar... So whose the hypocrite? Not Red States, but those that spew the hate America and take the dollar in nano-second.

I totally understood Red States statement. It was not contradictory, unless one was using inductive reasoning instead of deductive at what he/Red States said.
*******
Hypothetical example:

Majority loved politician, dumps $100,000.00 worth of one dollar bills off a high rise down to the streets. Do those that love and voted for this politician grab the dollar bills? I'd say, "Yes.". Would those that abhor his/her policies and didn't vote for him/her, refuse to madly grab for the "green backs" as they float down to the street? I think you and I know that outcome.

That's all I see in Red States comment. The majority of the world is glad we are a stabilizing influence(I'm sure that will get comments or rolled eyes.), but those that don't like us or our Prez, will not refrain from accepting the money. I do see a hypocrisy or contradiction in this, and it isn't what Red State said, but what America or it's detractors would do if given monetary handouts. They would and do play the "hypocrite's" role. It has been played over and over for years.

An AK47 held behind their collective backs, with little American flag notches on the stock, and their other hand held out, palm up with fake, thankful acceptance of the green backs.

That's a very very far reach, because you're misinterpreting what RSR said. He didn't say that we are generally liked but the ones that don't like us take our money...he states the President is liked worldwide, then stating "the world hates us but will take our money"

THAT is contradictory by any sense of the English language.

What I got from RSR's post was the following two points:

1. Bush is not has hated worldwide as some think - not that he isn't hated by some, and
2. Those that do hate him and America are still slimy enough to take handouts while sneering behind our backs

What I find shameful is that we allow this charity to the ungrateful to continue. How stupid does this make us look? Talk about the biggest con in the universe.

Presidential historian Doug Wead returns from an around-the-world trip and finds to his surprise that U.S. President George W. Bush is more popular worldwide than the United States is led to believe.

Well, considering it wasn't a stretch to assume that his popularity abroad was 0%, this shouldn't come as a surprise.

But I didn't see an actual poll. Was there one? Or was it just one guy's opinion?

In Latin America, Bush and the President of Venezuela, Hugh Chav, are running neck and neck - both low!
