WASHINGTON, Jan 17 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said his inauguration on Monday will be held inside the U.S. Capitol rather than outdoors because of severe cold.
"The weather forecast for Washington, D.C., with the windchill factor, could take temperatures into severe record lows. There is an Arctic blast sweeping the Country. I don’t want to see people hurt, or injured, in any way," Trump said on his Truth Social platform on Friday.

A good common-sense decision....The swamp that DC is built upon is damn cold in winter.

Doubly so when the wind is blowing out of the WNW at 15mph and it's only supposed to be 21 with snow on the ground.

Good. Fewer security concerns to have it indoors.

I do not trust it being outside with all the hateful rhetoric from the traitors on the left and the multiple attempts on Trump’s life he has already endured.

There is so much more about the Butler, PA assassination attempt that has been supressed.

This makes me feel much better about security.

Better, but not great. The Secret Service under Biden was in on the assassination attempts, they can't be trusted until Trump clears out the traitors. Given the circumstances, I think the whole thing should be behind closed doors with a small group, and just put on the web and TV.

Donald Trump and JD Vance will be sworn in to office inside the Capitol Rotunda on Monday — instead of outside the Capitol — as Washington, D.C. braces for dangerously cold temperatures, the president-elect posted on Truth Social.

The entire inauguration ceremony, including prayers and speeches, will move indoors. The last time cold weather scuttled the outdoor inauguration ceremony was in 1985 when Ronald Reagan was sworn into his second term. James Monroe’s second inauguration was also held inside the Capitol, in the House chamber, because of a snowstorm.

The National Weather Service is projecting sunny weather at the National Mall on Monday, with a high of around 23 degrees.

Well as most liberals said hell would freeze over before Trump was President again! They had made it hell so

D.C. in January can bone chilling cold. NO fond memories of waiting outside the Ft. Meyer Mess Hall for the bus to the Pentagon. Only worse than January is August, way too hot.

Dupe.....You don't even try do you?
