The CEO of Pfizer, all of the tech giants? Perhaps it is just innocuous discussions that they didn't engage in during 2016 and feel the need to but more likely it is to court favor and to try and influence his team before he takes office.

If Trump doesn't keep his promises and his administration in various positions don't keep their word with their optimistic and aggressive agenda, not only will his legacy be damaged irreparably but it will create a massive path for AOC for 2028. It's that simple.

When media didn't like Trump there was some comfort in that knowing that the old Establishment who had been wrong about everything for 30 years was feeling the heat of a leader who would operate differently. Sure it's comforting to have them support him more today but he cannot keep his eye off of what is needed to fix America. If he fails, it is almost assured that AOC or someone of her ilk wins in 2028. The risks are far too high.

He is the bellweather president now for "will the outsider remain an outsider when lavish goodies are presented?".

Last I checked these companies and their CEOs did real well under Biden. They just need to pay us workers more.

AOC can never win, no matter what happens. She's a very far left progressive and pretty much most everyone in the country does not want that, but for the minority in her district. She does not have national appeal.

No way in hell. There is FAR more that these companies need to address than simply paying workers more Pfizer, for instance, just a couple of weeks ago said "To hell with Trump, we are going to China baby! Just send the usual lobbyists with bags and warm handshakes and Trump will see it our way also"

Now they are going to schmooze him and donate some cash to decimate America?

As other Big Pharmas face local headwinds, Pfizer doubles down on China commitment with Zai Lab antimicrobial marketing pact

For Big Pharma, recent headlines out of China suggest multinational drugmakers are facing their share of challenges in the country. But that's not discouraging Pfizer.

After pledging to invest more $1 billion in the country and strengthen ties to local biotechs earlier this month, the New York pharma giant is lining up another local deal of a different stripe.

Pfizer has been tapped by Shanghai-based Zai Lab to help market the company’s antibacterial drug Xacduro in mainland China, the partners said Thursday. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, which is slated to run through November 2028.

If Trumps promises fall flat, the opening for an AOC, even as an Independent, would become more palatable.

Guys like Cenk of the Young Turks said he will wait and see about Trump but believes he is a con man and a grifter. Millions of young people will be that much older in four years. That many more voters.

Trump has to be the same he was in 2016 but wiser and more determined.

AOC has absolutely no chance, ever, no matter what happens. She couldn't even be the nominee let alone win.

Pfizer is in RKF Jrs crosshairs

Trump has received a clear mandate, so the tone in Washington and among the business elite toward trump has changed from "I'll get you" to "What can I get you?"

If you think AOC is a viable candidate, then you are even less informed on American politics than I think you are.

Trumps shift on Tik Tok was an ominous sign. When he said "well, we did so well with young people, I sort of have a soft spot for Tik Tok now".

National Security of the U.S should not be predicated on what is good for one but what is good for the nation. This is what allowed China to get so powerful in the first place, Western citizens who put their own interests first.

She might have national appeal as a pole dancer.

AOC has zero chance of becoming president.

What, you are just noticing NOW that Trump only does things to satisfy his insatiable narcissism? Where the fuck have you been for the last 8 years?

TikTok is not a notorious Chinese plot. Of course, you think everything is a notorious Chinese plot.

It makes us dumber, but does Facebook, Twitter/X, and most other social media.
