The CEO of Pfizer, all of the tech giants? Perhaps it is just innocuous discussions that they didn't engage in during 2016 and feel the need to but more likely it is to court favor and to try and influence his team before he takes office.
If Trump doesn't keep his promises and his administration in various positions don't keep their word with their optimistic and aggressive agenda, not only will his legacy be damaged irreparably but it will create a massive path for AOC for 2028. It's that simple.
When media didn't like Trump there was some comfort in that knowing that the old Establishment who had been wrong about everything for 30 years was feeling the heat of a leader who would operate differently. Sure it's comforting to have them support him more today but he cannot keep his eye off of what is needed to fix America. If he fails, it is almost assured that AOC or someone of her ilk wins in 2028. The risks are far too high.
He is the bellweather president now for "will the outsider remain an outsider when lavish goodies are presented?".
