Sanctions were imposed (at the behest of the Zionist regime) in order to eventually lead to societal collapse and then a puppet regime take over.

I refer to experts who know all about it, for example this gentleman, a Jew who grew up in Nazi Germany before being herded to Auschwitz for extermination by the Nazis when he was 19.

As another poster on this thread so aptly put it. Those policies were put into effect in response to Iran's offensive attacks on others. I would wager that the Iranians of 47 years ago would welcome the shah back.
