Possums were transplanted, somehow, to Oregon from the east/south. They're a huge pain in the butt. They litter our highways and freeways, and they spread some nasty disease to horses.

The atmosphere of Mars is much thinner than that of earth. The planet is also further from the sun than earth. Given those two facts, you would not expect much of a greenhouse effect on Mars despite the CO2.

The atmospheric pressure on Mars is approximately 1% that of the Earth. It is also much further away from the sun. Inverse square law and all of that nonsense.

Now if your knowledge of science is such that you haven't any idea of how greenhouse gases work, perhaps you should study some basic science before you expose your ignorance for all to see.

Whether you believe in the anthropogenic greenhouse effect or not, the sun is the ultimate source.

If man-made warming is true, then it is simply that we are causing our atmosphere to retain more of the heat radiated by the earth after it receives it from the sun.

Well yes, without the sun, the Earth would be a much colder place. However, over the last 50 years we have seen a rapid increase in temperatures worldwide. And in that same time period, the total irradiance of the sun has not increased, in fact it has decreased an insignificant amount. In fact, the only significant change that we have seen that can account for the increase in the global temperature is the increase in GHGs in our atmosphere. CO2 by 39%, CH4 by 250%.
