The choice was to pay for healthcare, or pay the tax. They were choices, with different cost. You are right, that Obamacare and the Dems did nothing but give Americans the choice to pay, it was going to cost Americans no matter what.

However, accepting these results for the sake of argument,* how illogical it for whatever number of respondants to blame Trump and the Republicans when they sent a clean CR to the Senate, only to have Senate Dems and "not Dems" filibuster it? They are literally stopping Democracy to keep the government shut down. How is that Trump's of all people's fault?
For those responses - however many actually said Trump and the GOP is to blame, even if it is far less than the half-poll question stated - I would credit knee-jerk partisanship for most of it, and the relentless propaganda of the media for the rest.
That is the problem with arguing with people who pile one lie after another. Sometimes you have to accept one lie for the sake of argument to show that the lie they stacked on that one is false.
