The current group calling themselves Democrats indeed are on the wrong side of pretty much every issue. It was not always that way.

My parents' Democrat Party, the one I belonged to long ago, were honorable Americans. They were far more for government solutions to pretty much everything than were the Republicans, but they did not intentionally try to hurt America or Americans.

And they shared common values with the Republicans. Disagreement was on how best to support those values, not re the values themselves.

You couldn't have more different values than those promoted by Democrats vs Republicans these days.

Republicans don't have any values but racism and bigotry. This has been a longstanding condition since the mid sixties when Republicans decided to take in racist southern democrats angry about integration. And don't get it twisted because Republicans never were friends of those who weren't white. Then the one uniting principle or common value was white racism. But as more n more people of color became Democrats, that ended. Republicans today say they stand for things but they don't and it's the Republicans who are on the wrong side every issue.

It has been said that Obama inherited the worst economy since FDR. During his 8 years he rebuilt it even with obstruction from Republicans on a consistent basis. In February of 2009, Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research the growth period from this policy began in July 2009 and continued through January 2020. People gave Trump credit for economic growth that began 8 years before he took office. Obama rebuilt the economy and created a record decade of growth even with Republican obstruction and austerity policies that actually slowed down economic growth.

Despite the opposition, Obama set a record for job growth that began in 2010, 7 years before trump took office and lasted until 2019, which was Trumps third year. Obama created 8.1 million jobs. Trump is given credit for 6.5 million. Trumps best year of job growth was lower than Obamas last 3 years. For those who want to say that Obama had 8 years and Trump had 4, Obama came into office when the nation was hemorrhaging jobs, losing thousands of jobs per month. Trump entered with an economy experiencing record growth. He had everything he needed to create more jobs than Obama but didn’t. The pandemic is no excuse considering nations with fewer resources than we had experienced less economic harm.. Crime rose during Trump and he is the one who created the border crisis. So if you voted for Trump you are mentally disturbed.
