Government spending naturally spurs the private economy. It's been pointed out, correctly, that food stamps issued by the government do a great deal for a struggling economy. The money goes right into the hands of private business-grocery stores-which is then used to pay their private employees, etc.

Social mores have changed. That started in the 60's. We became a more tolerant society.
It is things such as protected classes, and political correctness that have divided the country. It is these things supported and demanded by liberals which have been rammed down the throats of the majority of Americans who oppose them but have been shackled by a very loud minority.
BTW, as a percentage of gay couples, a very tiny minority will wed.
DO I support gay marriage? No. Do I accept it as a reality? Yes? Big difference. Do I oppose it? No.

Liberalism is the enemy of freedom and liberty. Liberalism rejects individual rights in deference to groups. Liberalism rejects entrepreneurial pursuits as impure. Liberalism rejects individual wealth as "unfair" Liberalism favors distribution as opposed to earning.
Liberalism rejects achievement as inherently evil instead it instills the idea of "equality of outcome"...Example, kids sports leagues where everyone gets a trophy. Where schools do not give out higher grades to achieving students. Where competition is all but banned.
This agenda has been pushed upon the majority of Americans.
We are middle of the road everyday folk juts trying to make a living and do better than our parents. We may attend church but we are not religious fanatics. We understand the principles that make this nation great. Those are the opportunity to be the best we can be.
We believe the money we earn is ours. We pay our taxes but will question our elected officials when they are not doing it right. We send them packing when they won't listen to us. We are America. You people are on the fringes. You and the right wing religious fanatics Unfortunately, you have been programmed to label anyone who does not tow the liberal line a racist judgemental homophobic religious fanatical right wing extremist.

This Comment pretty much Sums up the Difference Between Liberals and Conservatives. Liberals think the only way peoples suffering can be alleviated is through Federal Government Action. Namely Massive Spending Programs. Another big spending bill is not always the answer.

The House has passed over a Dozen Bills Directed at helping the Private Sector create Jobs, that have all been tabled by Reid. Why are you so incapable of honesty?

The poll, conducted by Public Policy Polling on behalf of the Democratic super PAC, "House Majority PAC," shows 12 Republican incumbents in a vulnerable position heading into their reelection campaigns: fewer than 50 percent of voters in their districts would vote to reelect them.

"These polls illustrate that Republican incumbents running in swing districts across the country are in serious trouble and Republican control of the House is in serious jeopardy," House Majority PAC Executive Director Alixandria Lapp said in a press release.
