The Arab Spring, and now The Arab Summer: May or May not have been dimly viewed by former Mayor Koch. He didi decide to to cross party lines, and endorse the Republican candidate to replace Wiener in the New York district election. The Obama Administration appears to have taken an unfamiliar direction in the Middle East, with some alarming success.
Orthodox Jews were likely not laughing too hard at what became an expression of their own core values in Washington, D. C. Stay-at-home Democrats do not get counted in the voting unless they vote absentee.
South Chicago Democrats were also not counted in the New York District voting--which easily would have been a game-changer, had they shown up(?).
Anyone knows that likely South Chicago had no such thought. The District itself is about to disappear, along with the the Anti-Republican, GOP winner. Some things in New York City don't change, even if the building codes appear to be a little suspect. Buildings in downtown Los Angeles sway with motion of the building with the shock absorbers, for mega-pointers. Apparently NYC is not constructed like that. Even people who do boxing know what happens to the opponent, just standing there upright.
