Poll -- Most MAGA Voters Support The Democrats' Key Government Shutdown Demand Regarding Obamacare Health Care Subsidies

Don't know why any would object to things going back the way they were pre-covid. We're well past covid now, but the commiecrats just want to keep the gravy train going. They're just trying to use taxpayer money to buy votes.
The vote to stop Blacks getting free stuff will always be with you.

This is devastating news for Trump and the Republican Party.

Most MAGA voters actually agree with the Democrats when it comes to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). MAGA voters want the Obamacare subsidies to continue past December 31st of this year.

This is a no-win situation for Trump and the Republican Party. --

Republicans are losing ground with their own base as the government shutdown drags into a third day, with new polling showing voters siding with Democrats on preserving enhanced Obamacare subsidies.

Seventy-eight percent of U.S. adults want Congress to extend the tax credits that lower monthly premiums for millions buying insurance through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace, a new Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) poll finds. Support cuts across party lines: 92 percent of Democrats, 82 percent of independents, and 59 percent of Republicans back the credits. Even among MAGA-aligned Republicans, a majority—57 percent—say they should remain.

The ACA tax credits, originally expanded under the 2021 American Rescue Plan, are a lifeline for roughly 24 million Americans. Without them, premiums are expected to double for many, and millions could lose coverage according to according to an analysis by KFF. The subsidies are set to expire at the end of the year.

Democrats have demanded that the subsidies, first put in place in 2021 and extended a year later, be extended again. They also want any government funding bill to reverse the Medicaid cuts in President Donald Trump's mega-bill passed this summer, which don't go into effect immediately but are already driving some states to cut Medicaid payments to health providers.

The public isn’t just siding with Democrats on policy; they’re also ready to assign blame if the subsidies disappear. Among Americans who support extending the credits, 39 percent say Trump would be most responsible, while 37 percent point to Republicans in Congress. Only 22 percent would blame Democrats.

Bullshit.

WTF???????????? This thread has nothing to do with race.

.
It has to do with free stuff and rightards' hate of the thought of Blacks getting some. Like accessible affordable health care, as in every other developed nation.

Sort of reprised Lee Atwater...

You start out in 1954 by saying, “******, ******, ******.” By 1968 you can’t say “******”—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “******, ******.”

Nobody working and paying for their insurance the Obiecare caused to double in price and triple the deductibles gives a flying **** about giving anyone more benefits. Especially illegals. Read the ******* room. It’s been three days and the only people upset are the ones that live off the government dime. Those of us paying those bills haven’t even ******* noticed.
And the stock market has been up all 3 days, Democrats are the ones being hurt by the shutdown.

Who made the poll?

The discussion is on ACA premiums, meaning NOT FREE. And if you keep trying to derail the thread I will report you.

They are subsidised, so there is an element of 'free', you yellow *****.

For instance, who will be most hurt when the subsidies are not extended?

Rich white guys?

Perhaps you should get your terms straight. They are enhanced subsidies that the commiecrats set to expire. They were put in place when so many people were off work during covid. People are working again now.

A very good description I've seen of them:

"MAGA isn't conservative or populist. It's just anti-Left".

That's exactly what MAGA media is, so that's what they are.

It was Democrats that set the time frame for the expiration of these subsidies....

Maybe you retards should have focused on that instead of 1.5 trillion in spending for illegals and your media stations. So run along and **** off you will get nothing.
Or maybe you're just a pathetic MAGA troll who is not smart enough to take part in a real debate?

That is also a distinct possibility.

Doesn't change the fact that 57% of MAGA voters want the Obamacare subsidies to continue, does it?

You lose. And Trump and the MAGA imbeciles in Congress are going to lose a lot worse.

Here's why you are wrong:

When a migrant crosses the border, what do they always do immediately when they are confronted by border patrol, or when they turn themselves in to border patrol, or other enforcement agency? They claim they need 'asylum'.

When they do so, they are given a court date (which could be years away) and their status is NOT considered as being an 'illegal'.
During this period, they are able to receive Medicaid coverage for their healthcare.

Once the 'Big Beautiful Bill' was passed in July, there is a provision in the bill that eliminates this requirement.

Democrats demand we go back to the way it was.

So here's the thing. "Technically" you can say that Republicans are lying when they say Dimocrats want to go back to giving healthcare to illegals, but the REAL truth here is, the vast majority of people claiming they need 'asylum' are doing so under false pretense, and they know it! They always demand they need asylum, because they know it A-U-T-O-M-A-T-I-C-A-L-Y buys them time, much of the time years.

So in affect, these people are 'illegals', since their legal status will likely be taken away once they get to court, and in the interim they should not have qualified for the Medicaid benefits.
Nothing to do with the Obamacare subsidies, simp....

Well, boo freakin hoo! You poor baby....Spent a better part of the last decade or longer licking the cod sack of liberal Democrats, and refusing to have discussions with those that disagree with your positions like a little baby, and now are sucking hind tit to Republican's who WON THE ELECTION....I don't feel the least bit sorry for you.
