After he made his position known (back when he was merely candidate Trump), lo and behold, the other NATO nations starting coughing up the funding a good amount. At the time of Trump taking them to task on their less than 1% of GDP spending on their .mil (supposed to be 3%) Germany had 12, count em' 12, Leopard II Main Battle Tanks that were in operational condition. Their Luftwaffe was in equally sorry shape.
