I hope you're right. But things are quite different. Trump is obsessed with loyalty and petty revenge, I don't think you can deny that, and this time he has (some) legitimate reasons for wanting revenge. "They" tried to kill him for chrissake. I don't think it's irrational to worry that he might go off the rails.

Care to share what gave you that opinion?

Didn't he just invite 2 of the corrupt assholes from MSNBC to Mara Lago to 'make amends'? Certainly sounds like a man determined to get 'revenge'. Certainly more than I would have done after what both of those morons said day after day on their 'shows'.

You. All I'm asking is if you'll push back at any point. Or, are you "all in"?

I don't think he's shown himself to be a fascist. Yet. But some of the things he's threatening seem headed in that direction. Thus the question.

Such as?

Your post perfectly illustrated doublethink. I posted the quote. You went NUH UH!! as if that was an adequate rebuttal.

As it turns out, you don't think very much at all.
You can be a douche and an asshole simultaneously. Both things can be true. That's the entire point I made. Now, go away.

I've said repeatedly, this thread isn't meant to be a fight over the meaning of the word "fascist". It's just a question about whether you would be willing to revoke support from Trump if he goes off the rails. It's a reaction to some of the extreme partisan comments I've seen that sound like people really want him to "exterminate" the opposition, etc... I'm hoping that's just trolls trolling, and that most Trump supporters are reasonable people who won't go there. But this thread isn't giving me confidence.
You wrote the thread headline question.

Therefore, whether you like it or not, the actual meaning of “fascist” and “full fascist” are on the table.

How are any of us supposed to know what YOU consider to be “fascist?” Indeed, for our respective answers to have any meaning to you (in response to your own “question”), you’d need to know our respective understandings of that term.

You’ve been called out. Justified. So now sack up and deal with it.

Define “fascist” and “full fascist.”

Then we can get down to what you have so far failed to steer the conversation to be about.

If trump tries to become a dictator (for real, not the lefts idea of a dictator), then yes, I would reject that.
