Many couples do the math and figure they can't afford children with both adults working full time. Farmers tend to be more religious than urbanites. Some religions try to boost reproduction or ban contraception to boost their membership and revenue.

1.1 Acre per person to feed someone if they eat like an American.

8.2 Billion people.

Only 3.9 billion acres of farmland.

Now, of course, not everyone eats like an American. Which is why we have shit like THIS going on.

It's not a matter of where to put everyone, it's a matter of providing them with enough food, clean drinking water, etc, sanitation to eliminate their waste, medical care, etc.

We are exhuasting the planet's resources. Thousands of species are disappearing because humans are destroying their habitat.
