Politicians are not responsible for the actions of extremist "followers".

Politicians are not responsible for the actions of extremist "followers". This is true for all politicians. The most obvious one is that President Trump is not responsible for the people who invaded the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. Some of those people were probably just troublemakers.

Democrats can also be demonized by the actions of supporters. James Hodgkinson, who shot Congressman Steve Scalise on June 14, 2017, at a baseball practice was a supporter of Bernie Sanders. President Trump is not responsible for January 6, 2021, and Bernie Sanders is not responsible for June 14, 2017. All kinds of extremists can "support" politicians who would never approve of the actions that they took.
Your post is intelligent, rational and shows a great deal of common sense which is why many will disagree with every word of it.

Totally.

The idiot who attacked the FBI is dead because of rhetoric. That same idiot was posting on Truth Social, which by the way, belongs to Donald Trump.

"In the minutes after an armed man in body armor tried to breach an FBI field office in Cincinnati, an account with the suspect’s name, Ricky Shiffer, posted to former president Donald Trump’s social network, Truth Social: “If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I.”

"A review of the Shiffer account’s Truth Social activity showed he had posted dozens of times a day to the site, replying to pro-Trump influencers, attacking the government and suggesting violence was the most important way true Trump believers could defend the former president"

So tell us why that type of talk is allowed and supported on "politician" and "troublemaker" Trump's site and why he isn't "responsible"

So Schumer is responsible for the guy that attempted to kill Kavanaugh?

If Donald Trump knew that there were armed extremists at the Capitol on January 6th - and it seems plausible that he did - then he's very much responsible for encouraging them. That's not the same as saying he's responsible for their actions, but he's responsible for his actions.
The people who illegally entered the Capitol were not armed!

Imagine that, a platform that is actually a platform like Twitter and Facebook used to be.

In my remark about troublemakers, I meant that some people present at the Capitol were not Trump suppoters. They were only there to cause trouble for President Trump!

So you are trying to equate James Hodgkinson to a riot...

Was Bernie speaking to him 30 min before he shot him... Did Bernie tell him a raft of lies about his country getting stolen from him by Steve Scalise...

Nice try...

Politicians have a responsibility for what they say... If they are involved in lying and deceit to fire up the base and extremist elements of your support and they cause violence, you acted highly irresponsible...

I don't think Sarah Palin intended to cause actual damage when she put out crosshairs on her rivals but it was irresponsible... In rugby they give red cards for careless actions as well as intentional actions...
If you are spouting hateful deceitful bile and creates violence, your action are culpable, maybe not legally but their colleges & electorate should know they are not fit for office.

Nobody except brain-dead idiots watched the Jan 6hearings.
Keep saying that to yourself...

Many people think you are wrong, these hearings will not determine if Trump criminally or civilly liable for the actions that took place around Jan 6th...

I think it has become patently clear that Trump is highly unfit for office...

A political party isn't responsible for extremists unless they are on the payroll. If evidence is correct that the FBI engineered the violent end of Jan 6 it means that democrats are responsible for extremists.
It makes one wonder why President Trump, asking for the National Guard to be deployed at the Capitol, was rejected by the DC mayor.

Not when the politician specifically instructs them to demonstrate peacefully as President Trump did in his speech on January 6, 2021!
Right. :auiqs.jpg: With a "stop the Steal" rally in Washington on the day of recording the electoral votes after losing at the polls, the courts and the state houses for two months.:auiqs.jpg:

This statement is true. President Trump's speech on January 6, 2021, does not fit this description!

But they are indirectly responsible for how they handle it when it does occurr.

Like when people protested, threatened, vandalized and semi attacked supreme court judges on row vs wade a lot of Democrats encouraged that behavior and supported and in some cases called for it. Like pelosi and Cortez both supported them. Biden didn't support them directly but still used language that supported their cause.

Same thing happened with him going on burning, looting, destruction riots for a year in a lot of cities. Either democrat leaders supported them or simply said nothing as thousands of people broke laws, hurt people and caused millions in damage. Meanwhile when jan 6 happened they all dog piled on them, trump and every conservative in the country.

You're original point is very true. But it is disproportionately that Democrats support their extremists either directly or indirectly with 0 reprocussions, but when it comes to a conservative extremist they want biblical levels of fire and brimstone called down on the leaders of the conservatives.
