Thomas Webster, a Marine Corps veteran and retired New York City Police Department officer, has been indicted on multiple counts, including assaulting a police officer with a large metal flagpole carrying a red U.S. Marine Corps flag attached to it. To the extent that his J6 defendant pardons includes those who committed violent crimes (against any individuals), I believe it went a bit too far.

On the other hand, let’s be fair. Lincoln pardoned the Confederacy Rebels, too. Maybe it’s better to just put that shit behind us.
