I'm not at all worried. I don't live in the kind of neighborhood where police have to serve warrants.

What kind of neighborhood is that? My parents had a search warrant executed at the house across the street from them. They live in a 300,000 dollar house, with every house in the neighborhood 150,000 to 450,000. Anyone can have a warrant executed on them anywhere.

It's either super-isolated, way out in the country, or super-rich with huge multi-million-dollar mansions only, or both.

Neither, actually. Most houses are $250k to 750k. And I'm in the suburbs of Orlando.

A). They were at the wrong address. Not much else matters. Had they gone to the right house, this man never would have been killed.

B). At no point did anyone report that the Police identified themselves as Police. If someone came to your house late at night pounding hard on the door, you have every right to bring a gun with you expecting the worst.

C). How did the police know he had a gun if they shot him through the door? The door had to be closed or at least not fully open. In such cases, the burden of proof is not on the VICTIM, it is on the police; that is what the body cams are for. There are grave inconsistencies in the police story, ergo, the police are not telling the full truth. Why would the police lie unless there was something they wanted to cover up. And apparently they don't have any body cam video to back up their story.

The family will win.

One thing I hear our local fire dept complain about from time to time, is that there are many homes that are either not physically addressed, or the #'s are very difficult to read, especially at night.
They will remind property owners that they need to have their homes well marked.
This might be a case, where a very visible address may have made a world of difference.

You know, in a world of smart phones and GPS, as well as apps that will tell you where you are at, and show you how to get to the right address, I'm still having a hard time understanding how these cops messed up the address.

I spent a couple of weeks in CO with my cousin a couple of months ago, and they had just moved to the town they were living in. Well, there were some places that I wanted to go to, but they didn't know how to get there. What did they do? Called up the app on their smart phone and we never had a problem getting to EXACTLY where we needed to go.
